We have now finalised the line up for Friday evening at the Waterports Association to kick the weekend off in style. We will starting at 7pm with the first talking getting underway at 7.30pm.
First up will be an insight into the work of the Devon & Cornwall Police Underwater Search Team, so if you want to find out what it is really like scrambling around in zero visibility looking for gruesome discoveries, this is the ideal chance.
We will then have two talks running through the work of the RNLI and DDRC which will be a great chance to understand what goes on if the worst happens and you ever need a trip to the pot. Nick and Warren will be on hand to give you a first hand account if you haven't been bored with the stories already!
Then we will try and lighten the mood slightly with Mark Evans, Sport Diver's editor giving us an insight into the life of a dive magazine editor and finish with Maria Munn sharing her advice on the best way to get awesome shots with a compact camera set-up
This is a free event, but you may be asked to scramble around for donations to DDRC and the RNLI as a thank you for everybody's time.
We hope to see as many people as possible!! If you have any questions, just give us a call on 01326 311265.

We are not sure whether our new compressor can claim the credit here, but love is certainly in the air for two of our newly qualified divers. Having finished their course, Dave was keen to keep diving and so persuaded Heather to stop at Swanage for a dive under the pier on their way home the following day.
What Heather didn't realise was that Dave had concealed an engagement ring in his BCD pocket and managed to work out some bespoke sign language to pop the question. We understand there was a very enthusiastic 'OK' in reply.
Everyone at Cornish Diving College would like to offer congratulations to both of you!!

In addition to the discounted Digital Photographer specialty on offer over the Scubapro Diving Days weekend, we can now confirm that Maria Munn will also be with us to offer tips and advice on capturing that perfect image with digital compact cameras.
She will also judge the photography competition running over both days with some great prizes on offer.
Places on the courses are filling fast so book now to avoid missing out on the chance to practice with the Sealife DC1200 Elite camera and strobe package.
Simon Chance, Manager of the International Retailers and Resorts Association for PADI International, presented us with a commemorative plaque to mark Cornish Diving College's 20 year association with PADI.
This is a relationship started when PADI was an unknown in the UK diving market but has seen PADI and Cornish Diving College go from strength to strength through the development and delivery of a great range of courses and programmes designed to make diving a great family activity open to all.

The second of the discounted specialties for the Scubapro Diving Days weekend in July is the PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty where you have the option of diving in tri-laminate or neoprene dry suits from Scubapro
In addition to the 10% discount being offered on the course cost, you will also get the chance to buy the dry suit you dive in at a huge discount.
We expect a great response to this offer so make sure you book early.

As the season gets started in earnest, it's time to start looking ahead to the Scubapro Diving Days. First out of the blocks is the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty which we are offering with a 10% discount.
To celebrate the new collaboration between Scubapro and Sealife Cameras, both of the camera packages will be available to use during the course and with expert knowledge on hand to guide and assist with composition in the water and post production techniques this is a great chance to get snapping.
Places are extremely limited so book early to make sure you don't miss out!

Cornish Diving College have recently joined forces with Cornwall Wildlife Trust to help support the great work the Trust carries out in support of marine life in the county.
As well as becoming Corporate Sponsors, we have committed to donate money from each course booked to the Marine Wildlife Appeal. The money raised through this appeal will allow the Trust to carry out a variety of marine conservation work during the coming year, which will benefit our wonderful marine species such as dolphins, seals and basking sharks and marine habitats like coral gardens and kelp forests. We will also be encouraging our customers to make a contribution towards this valuable work.
Watch out for more details in the near future.
